The CIS Department office is on the third floor of the Queen Mary building.
My office is on the fourth floor, QM413.
Some directions for visitors are provided by the university but you may also find the following to be of use...
- Road
- Just follow the signs to Greenwich and it's hard to miss us.
Head for the East Gate which is off Park Row.
There is on and off street parking so bring change for the machines or arrrange for an on-site visitor permit (not easy so we need plenty of notice).
Rail - TFL Network
- Take the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Cutty Sark for Maritime Greenwich.
DLR integrates with the tube (and rail) network and Cutty Sark station is in zone 2.
This takes you to about 150 metres of the campus West Gate.
Rail - National Network
- Maze Hill and Greenwich stations are both on the same line and quite a walk to the campus (~700metres).
Maze Hill station (zone 3) is closest to the East Gate and Greenwich station (zone 2) is closest to the West Gate.
Bus
- If you are feeling brave, or impoverished, or have time to kill then you could always try taking a bus.
River
- There are several services to Greenwich Pier.
This is a lovely way to reach us if you are coming from central London.
Air
- Head for London City Airport.
This is very close to us but on the other side of the river.
A taxi will be quick and not much more expensive than public transport.
Maps
- Transport for London provide an excellent range of maps.
These maps are very detailed, less than easy to view on screen and not very legible from the average A4 colour printer.
TFL can provide printed versions but getting hold of one is seldom easy.
